Our Story
The story of Five Bridges began in 1945 when my grandfather, Samuel Thornton, returned from service in World War II with a dream to create a sanctuary where fellow hunters could reconnect with nature. He chose this remote location for its abundant wildlife, untouched forests, and the five wooden bridges that cross our property's winding creek—hence our name.
